Astra Club Members – Sign up to work at Community Christmas beginning Monday, October 1, 2018, in Mrs. Prothro’s office. You must have all passing grades, and bring a Barbie or a set of five Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars. (Single cars will not be accepted.) You also cannot be on the debt list.
Astra Club Officers who attended the Gingerbread House Luncheon – Remember to collect change in your Gingerbread House banks. These are due November 30th. If you need another bank, see Mrs. Prothro.
Auditions for Into the Woods, the spring musical, are November 28th – 29th . You MUST pick up an information sheet from Mr. Williams in room 200.
Drama Club – Do you want to be a STAR? Join Byrd Drama Club. Stop by Mr. Williams’ Room (Main Building 200) to get a Drama Club Form. Return it with your dues! You may also print a form at www.byrddrama.weebly.com and pay your dues online at www.payforit.net.
Ducks Unlimited Club
Ducks Unlimited Club will meet in T-11 on the first Tuesday of the month during EIP. If you are interested in joining, please see Coach Ballew.
FCA - Anyone interested in joining FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) needs to pick up an application from the girls PE office or Coach Wilkerson. This is not just an athletic club – ANYBODY can join! Come out and see what it is all about. First meeting will be held in the learning center during EIP.
French Club t-shirts are on sale for $20. They can be purchased online (French Club t-shirts) or in Ms. Matkins room (room 114). Either way come by Ms. Matkins room (114) to give her your size.
French Club members need to bring in 10 toys for Community Christmas. The children are Kindergarten age (age 5). Please do not bring toys for children older than Kindergarten age or they will have to be returned.

Growing for Good- Do you want to learn more about healthy living while attending fun, free classes like those offered at a local gym? Well now you have the chance! The Growing for Good club at C. E. Byrd High School to hear from professional speakers around our community about specific ways to improve your life. We also offer the chance to learn about agriculture and sustainable food growth in our very own on-campus greenhouse! We aim to produce vegetables throughout the year that we will deliver to local food pantries in our community. We want YOU to be a part of the change for a better, healthier lifestyle by donating through payforit.net!

Lyle Leaders (10th, 11th, & 12th Graders) interested in attending the Junior Achievement Inspire field trip to a work site visit and then workshop and lunch at the Convention Center on Thursday, November 29 please have the permission slip filled out and returned to Miss Waters in S-305 ASAP. In order to be eligible for membership in National Honor Society, you must be a member in good standing in three Byrd organizations. One must be a service club and one must be an academic club. Your third organization may be a service or academic club, any other club, or a Byrd sports or spirit group. Top Jackets offer tutoring before school every Monday and Wednesday from 7:45-8:12. We have two locations – S113 in the science building and 217 in the main building.
