Students and Parents of Seniors – Beginning with this year’s graduating class, each senior is required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or have a parent or guardian certify in writing a waiver if he refuses to complete the application. The FAFSA application is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Please see Mrs. Byrd in the counseling office if you will not be completing the FAFSA and would like a waiver. One of these steps is required in order to graduate.
Seniors – The FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is now available at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Step by step instructions are available in the senior orientation packets students received. The FAFSA is the preferred TOPS application, as well as application for PELL grants and student loans. Seniors must complete the FAFSA in order to graduate, or complete the TOPS online application or submit a waiver.

Here’s the information Mrs. Byrd talked to you about in your English class in September. Download and print a copy - it’s full of good resources.
Seniors – transcripts are now available. If you need to request a personal copy, or send one to a college, please complete the request for transcript form available in the counseling office. Cost is $5. Remember that you do not have to send transcripts to Louisiana public universities (LSU, Tech, etc.) They have access through the statewide student transcript system.
Seniors – if you need a letter of recommendation, you must submit your student questionnaire/resume two weeks prior to your deadline. Information is available in the counseling office.
Seniors - If you are on free or reduced lunch, you can take the ACT for free, and receive free online test prep. See Mrs. Byrd in the counseling office.
